Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREGINALD STANLEY CARPENTER Reg passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 25, 2001 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 87 years. Reg is survived by loving family, wife Gweneth; daughter Elizabeth Piotroski (Rick) sons, Paul (Rae) and Anthony (Heather) grandchildren, Sarah-Jane and Adam Carpenter, Bryan and Keith Carpenter and Katrina Piotroski. Reg was born in Winnipeg and was a mechanic by trade. He served with the Canadian Navy overseas during the Second World War. After discharge in 1945, he returned to Winnipeg. Reg retired from Midwest Detroit Diesel as Service Manager in 1979 and spent his retirement years enjoying gardening, his greenhouse, and his family. In accordance with Regs wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial service. Instead, he asks that those who knew him, think of him kindly from time to time. I came upon Reg's obit notice, and thought I have to write a note, I remember what a kind person he was. One cold evening my car would not start, he kindly stayed and helped me get it going.
